Well, we guess you do. How can anyone forget the <em>Flag Hoisting Time on Republic Day<\/em> which filled our heart with patriotism and make our eyes gleamed with pride? One dare not!<\/p>\n<div id=\"blog-all-images\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/floweraura-blog-img.s3.ap-south-1.amazonaws.com\/+Drinks+Together\/cover-picture.jpg\" alt=\"Cover Image\" title=\"Cover Image\" \/><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\" float: left; width: 100%; margin-top: 20px;\"> \u00a0<br \/>\nThe unfurling of the National flag was accompanied by the national anthem and pledge over narrations of the Preamble. This was followed by patriotic speeches, cultural programs, prize distribution.<\/p>\n<p>As we all celebrate <em> 71th Republic Day<\/em> on 26th January <em>2020<\/em>, let\u2019s reiterate in our heart and mind the preamble&#8211; The Introduction to the Indian Constitution.<\/p>\n<p>In the words of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar&#8211; one of the architects of the Indian constitution, \u201cPreamble is a way of life which recognizes liberty, equality, fraternity as the principles of life and which cannot be divorced from each other.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Preamble states:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>WE, THE PEOPLE OF INDIA,<\/em> having solemnly resolved to constitute India into a <em>SOVEREIGN SOCIALIST SECULAR DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC<\/em> and to secure to all its citizens:<\/p>\n<p><em>JUSTICE<\/em>, social, economic and political;<\/p>\n<p><em>LIBERTY <\/em>of thought, expression, belief, faith, and worship;<\/p>\n<p><em>EQUALITY <\/em>of status and opportunity;<\/p>\n<p>and to promote among them all<\/p>\n<p><em>FRATERNITY<\/em> assuring the dignity of the individual and the unity and integrity of the Nation;<\/p>\n<p><em>IN OUR CONSTITUENT ASSEMBLY<\/em> this twenty-sixth day of November 1949, do <em>HEREBY ADOPT, ENACT AND GIVE OURSELVES THIS CONSTITUTION<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>The significance of the Preamble lies in its components.<\/p>\n<ul style=class=\"sublist\">\n<li style=\"list-style: disc;\">The terms sovereign, socialist, secular, democratic, republic suggests the nature of Indian states.<\/li>\n<p>\n<li style=\"list-style: disc;\">The ideals of equality, liberty, justice reflect the objectives of the constitution for the people of the nation.<\/li>\n<p>\n<li style=\"list-style: disc;\">The Preamble promotes fraternity for maintaining the unity and integrity of the nation.<\/li>\n<p>\n<li style=\"list-style: disc;\">The Preamble also bears the date (26 November 1949) on which the constitution was adopted.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>On 26th January 1950, the constitution of India came into effect, on which Republic Day is celebrated. However, if you are asking, <em>why do we celebrate republic day<\/em>? This day marks India\u2019s transition towards being an Independent nation; hence the day needs to be celebrated with full patriotism and honor.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"sweet\">Explaining the keywords in the Preamble:<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Sovereign:<\/strong>     The word \u201cSovereign\u201d means India is an independent nation and the Legislature Of Indian has the power to enact laws in the country.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Socialist:<\/strong>\tThe word \u201cSocialist\u201d was added to the Preamble by the 42nd Constitutional Amendment in 1976. Socialism means the achievement of socialist ends through democratic ways.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Secular:<\/strong>\tThe term \u201cSecular\u201d means that all religions that equal respect, protection, and support from the state.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Democratic:<\/strong>\u201cDemocratic\u201d indicates the Constitution established a form of government which is by the people, for the people, and of the people.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Republic:<\/strong>\tIn a Republic state, the head of the state is elected either directly or indirectly by the people.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Justice:<\/strong>\tThe expression \u201cJustice\u201d embraces three forms: social, economic, and political through provisions of Fundamental and Directive principles.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Liberty:<\/strong> \tThe word \u201cLiberty\u201d means the liberty of expression, thought, faith, belief, and worship. It also provides freedom from slavery, discrimination, despotism.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Equality:<\/strong> \tThe word \u201cEquality\u201d provides equal status and opportunities to all the citizens and people of the country.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fraternity:<\/strong> \t\u201cFraternity\u201d means a feeling of brotherhood.
